Free WiFi (Wireless Internet) is available at the Newburgh Free Library. Use of the Internet is governed by the Internet Use Policy.
Anyone with a laptop computer or other mobile device equipped and configured for 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g wireless access can access the wireless network. Our direct, high-speed wireless connection is available during library hours.
WiFi is available on personal and library laptops. To use a library laptop (only for use in the library), please ask at the Circulation Desk. To borrow a laptop, you must have a clean card record and present your library card and photo ID. You do not need to re-configure the laptop to access Wi-Fi. In most cases, when you open a Web browser the laptop computer will automatically detect the connection. Our library staff provides basic technical assistance but for more complex problems, consult your user’s manual or call the manufacturer.
At this time, printing is not available from personal laptops.
