Research & Info
LOOKING FOR INFORMATION?
Are you planning that dream vacation, trying to figure out how to finance your child’s education, or looking for a new job? Is there a line of an old song running through your mind, but you just can’t remember the rest of it? Are you working on a research project for school? Have you tried the Internet but discovered there was just too much information to sort through? In other words, are you experiencing information overload?
FINDING INFORMATION IS WHAT WE DO BEST
The reference staff of experienced, professional librarians at the Newburgh Free Library is here to assist you with your diverse information needs. We will use the Library’s automated catalog to find you the information from our vast collection of non-fiction and reference books, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, and government documents. And if we don’t have it here we can borrow it for you from libraries nearby or from across the country.
Our librarians are also highly skilled at searching the Internet to find you the most accurate, current information for your research needs. Or, we can start you on your own search using one of our free Internet workstations.
Also available to you is a comprehensive selection of databases, many of which are full-text, that provide a wealth of information. All can be accessed in the Library and many can be accessed from home
Come visit us in person, call our direct reference line at 563-3625 or e-mail us by clicking on Ask a Librarian.
